House T

location: Romania, Targu-Mures

The site is on the limit of the old city of Targu-Mures in a residential area. The plots
are longitudinal with double access and oriented North - South. The functions are a mix
between private and public. The house is divided in three areas: two apartments and an
office area on the ground floor. The two blind walls on East and West determined a
sequence of central courts that organize and shape the spaces around them. The court
facing north is used for access to the public area, the garage and the interior court
from the first floor. The court facing south is accessible only for the owner’s apartment.
On the top floor a private court and a covered studio offers a creative and meditative
environment for the artist.
